Betsie Mozurak – Owner/Director

Hi! I’m Betsie Mozurak, the owner/director of the Hartwood Learning Center. I started working in a daycare center when I was 15 years old, and it has been my passion ever since! I graduated from Westminster College with a degree in Elementary Education and am a certified teacher in the state of Pennsylvania. My love for younger children quickly drew me out of the school district and back where I belong, right here! My time at the Hartwood Learning Center is more fun and rewarding than I ever dreamed. I am truly one of the lucky ones!!

Lauren King

I am a 2005 graduate of Hampton High School. I currently attend Community College with the intention of majoring in a child-related field; I just don’t know which one to pick! I have a 5 month old daughter named Jordyn who has made me realize how much I love kids. I started working here shortly after her birth, as a sub, then part-time and now I am a full time employee.

Carrie Sims

Hi! I am a 1998 graduate of Fox Chapel High School. I have been an employee of Hartwood Learning Center for close to a year now. Working here continues to be a wonderful experience. I am lucky enough to see my niece and nephew who attend Hartwood Learning Center as well as my sister who teaches preschool here. I am currently working on a B.S. in Secondary English Education at Robert Morris University. I have a wonderful husband of almost 2 years and a 10-year-old stepson who attends Marzoff Elementary School in the Shaler School District.
